fun-day friday.

Another week of classes finished! I can't believe how fast this quarter is going. Usually winter seems to drag on and last forever, but for some reason the last couple months seem to have flown by!

I had a moderately interesting week I suppose.

*Monday was President's Day so I didn't have class, which was awesome because Mondays are usually my busiest days.
*Tuesday was I scored an awesome Pier 1 Imports papasan chair on craigslist for cheap and it's in great condition! I don't know if the title of papasan chair is commonly used... when I told my roommate I got one she didn't know what I was talking about and I had no idea that's what the chair was technically called. Anyhow, it's one of those wicker ones with the big dish and the cushion in it. I'm excited to put it in my new apartment (which I'm not moving into until September, but I like to get excited about things really far in advance anyway).
*Wednesday I 4.0ed my music theory test. Whoop!
*Thursday I did nothing. I had one class, took a 4 hour nap and watched t.v. Isn't that terribly exciting and aren't you happy I took the time to share that with you because it's just sooo incredibly interesting?
*Today I went to a cool theater place and saw The King's Speech (which was AWESOME) with a friend! It's called Cinnebar and it's around the Mountlake area. It's like a restaurant/movie theater/bar all in one. While you watch the movie you can order food and drinks (it's 21+) and people come around and serve you.

I think tonight has to be an early one because I'm going to go clear "invasive Himalayan blackberry bushes" at a nearby park at 9am tomorrow. It's an extra credit project for an environmental science class I'm taking and I can't wait to wake up nice and early on a Saturday morning to go hack bushes in freezing weather.

That's about it for now, I'll have something more exciting to talk about after my weekend I hope!

tryna' get fratty.

Shoes: Michael Anthonie Studio, Tights: Betsey Johnson, Skirt: F21, Shirt: BP, Necklace: Betsey Johnson.

Bracelets: Betsey Johnson and various silver ones. Ring: gift.

These shoes allow me to channel my inner-Gaga.

I was looking around for a good place for an outfit post, and, due to the incredibly classy nature and aesthetically pleasing qualities of this vandalized door, I ended up settling on the perameters of one of the frats on my street. I struck several poses as the sweet scent of stale Keystone Light wafted through the slight breeze around me.

I found these shoes in Vegas on my 21st birthday and they were just too over the top to pass up. I wish I could wear them everywhere. They also contributed to my Halloween costume this past year when I dressed up as Lady Gaga wearing caution tape like in the Telephone music video. I can't seem to find the brand name online anywhere though, which is disappointing because I like these shoes so much that I'm interested to see what else the designer has out there!

The skirt has proven to be a great find as well. It was a deal at F21 and it can be worn with so many combinations. One look I really like is pairing lime green with leopard print, so you'll probably be seeing another post featuring this skirt with a whole different look.

Another short post, but I have to go to class!

a gray kind of day.

Boots: Steve Madden, Pants: H&M, Shirt: BP, Scarf: Urban Outfitters.

As it tends to be in Seattle, it was a gray day for my outfit post and I decided to match my outfit with the weather. I picked these pants up at H&M for $10 on sale a while ago and have been able to incorporate them into a lot of different styles. The scarf was a $5 find on the clearance rack at UO. As for the ankle boots, it's kind of a funny story. I had gone into Nordstrom and seen the boots and decided that I must have them. I alerted my mom (as my birthday was quickly approaching) and told her to look on the website for "this awesome pair of Steve Madden black ankle boots with all kinds of straps and studs and whatnot." For some reason they weren't on the website and the boots weren't mentioned again. On my birthday I opened one of my last presents to find that my mom had bought me the boots! I said something to her about how good she was at acting like she didn't know what boots I was talking about when I had told her I reeeeeally wanted them and she said she had bought them for me before I even mentioned them to her. In sum, my mom has awesome taste haha.

let's just start off by saying i like purple.

Boots: Two Lips, Pants: Urban Outfitters, Shirt: BP, Cowl: Hot Topic, Bracelets: Betsey Johnson and other random silver ones.
I love these boots. I randomly found them on sale for $20 and realized that I had to have them. They've turned out to be one of my favorite pairs!

I'm Lily and this is my blog. I'm new to this/I basically have no idea what I'm doing. I think I should find a cool layout or something? I'll figure it out.

I have a few primary interests and activities which take up most of my time, such as:
*being a student at the University of Washington! (I'm double-majoring in political science and law, societies, and justice (LSJ), and minoring in music, and loving it).
*buying way too many clothes and shoes.
*scrapbooking.
*baking.
*playing the piano.
*taking pictures.
*decorating my room with things that are tacky to the point that they're actually awesome.
*eating too much sushi.
*owning too many things that are purple.

Feel free to follow my blog! I'll be doing a lot of outfit posts, especially once it gets sunny outside, and basically just putting my 2 cents in on whatever I find interesting throughout my days as a junior in college.
